Great to meet you!

I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist with over 20 years of experience helping teens and adults navigate life’s challenges, relationships, and personal growth. I hold a doctorate in counseling psychology and have worked in a variety of clinical settings supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds.

I work with clients dealing with anxiety, stress, life transitions, and relationship concerns, as well as those seeking greater self-understanding and emotional balance. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can be fully yourself—heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

As a Latino, I understand the complexities of identity, family expectations, and navigating different worlds, which can be an important part of the therapeutic process for many clients from all backgrounds.

Clients often describe me as calm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. With empathy, guidance, and understanding, my goal is to help clients achieve balance, health, and overall wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is active, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches and tailor our work to fit your specific needs, rather than using a one-size-fits-all method.

I’m a warm and supportive therapist, but I’m also direct and honest. I believe meaningful change comes from both insight and action, so I will gently challenge you when needed while helping you build practical tools you can use in your daily life.

I work best with clients who are ready to engage in the process, reflect on patterns, and make intentional changes. My goal is not just to listen, but to help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and direction.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, current concerns, and what you’re hoping to get out of the process.

This is also your time to ask questions and get a feel for how I work. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and heard from the very beginning.

While the first session is primarily about understanding your needs, I also like to begin identifying patterns, offering initial insights, and discussing possible next steps. By the end of our session, you can expect to have a clearer sense of direction and how we might work together moving forward.
