Great to meet you!

Hi! Congrats to you for taking the first step towards obtaining a better understanding of self and where you want to be. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been in the mental health field for over 15 years in many clinical environments. I have helped many individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship/family issues, LGBT issues, formerly incarcerated individuals, and other needs that do not always fit neatly into a specific area.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I like to use a down-to-earth counseling style focused on finding a way to improve your overall well-being in a way that works best for you. My therapeutic approach is grounded primarily in Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, however we will use other methods based on your personal needs and goals.

What you can expect from our first session

Reaching out for help can be a scary experience. Perhaps the most important part of this process is finding someone that you feel comfortable with. Without this, it is very difficult to make the type of changes you need. I applaud your decision to consider therapy and would love the opportunity to get to know you better.
