Great to meet you!

I completed my Master of Social Work training at the University of Denver and earned my PhD in clinical social work from Smith College. Until now, I have practiced almost exclusively within the federal healthcare system, supporting individuals, couples, and families facing relational concerns, psychological trauma, depression, anxiety, and the many bio-psycho-social-spiritual challenges that shape our lives. I bring extensive experience and genuine respect for each client’s story.

My approach to therapy

I am genuinely curious about each client’s subjective experience and strive to understand what life has been like for you. Together, we will build self-awareness by exploring how your experiences and relationships have shaped your life up to this point. I offer a nonjudgmental, accepting space because I believe understanding begins with acceptance. I also view emotions as our compass, paying attention to their personal meaning and what they may reveal about your life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will spend time discussing the concerns that brought you to therapy. This information will support my assessment and help us create a collaborative plan for addressing what matters most to you. Just as important, however, is your story. You will have the opportunity to speak in your own words, while I listen carefully and work to understand your experience. We will begin building a thoughtful, trusting foundation for our work together.
