John Derenski

I am a therapist licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist by the State of California. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the California State University at Northridge, and a Masters of Arts Degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from Azusa Pacific College. I've completed post-graduate work in human sexuality, and has experienced treating sexual disorders. I am a Certified Parent Effectiveness Training Instructor and a licensed hypnotherapist.

My approach is looking at family systems by using cognitive behavioral therapy and emotionally focused therapy. I try to make sure you feel heard and seen while discussing how your perspective translates into observable behavioral action.

I can't your behavior, I can't change your will, but what I try to do is change your mind, look at a different perspective on things and maybe give a different point view.
