Great to meet you!

Hi — I’m John, and my mission is to help you get out of your own way. I earned my Master’s from SUNY Albany’s School of Social Welfare and have spent over a decade working with adults, teens, and families from every background — from New York to Oregon and back again. Together, we’ll challenge the worries, thoughts, and beliefs that hold you back — so you can clear a path toward the life you actually want.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when you feel truly safe to say the things you usually keep hidden. My first goal is to build a strong, honest partnership — a space where you can face the parts of life that feel uncomfortable but keep you stuck. Therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all: it’s a flexible process that adapts to your needs, goals, and pace. You can expect fresh perspective, stronger confidence, clearer boundaries, and practical tools to build whatever comes next in life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to share what’s bringing you to therapy in a way that feels comfortable and manageable. We’ll talk about your goals, explore any immediate concerns, and begin to map out how I can best support you. You can expect a collaborative, supportive environment where you’re encouraged to be yourself — no pressure, no judgment. By the end of the first session, we’ll have a clearer picture of your needs and an initial plan for moving forward together.
