Great to meet you!

I employ various methods to help people grow. My work is an amalgam of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches and includes the use of guided visualization and mindfulness. When clients come into my space they experience a kind, interested and welcoming energy. They can expect to be heard in a way that assures them of my understanding and empathy. I have been in practice for 50 years, and deal with anxiety, depression, and Couples Issues.

My approach to therapy

In my Couples Therapy work, I utilize approaches that aim to examine and correct defensive behaviors that are derived from Gottman’s theories of marriage, and Emotion Focused Therapy derived from the work of Sue Johnson. The work I do in Individual Therapy is a mixture of psychodynamic, psychoanalytic and cognitive-behavioral approaches to change, and the life areas I explore have to do with family interactions that may be toxic and produce feelings of anxiety, depression and alienation.

What you can expect from me

My clients leave sessions with a firm sense that they have been understood, along with a treatment plan for working on their issues.
