Great to meet you!

If you’re feeling drained from a toxic or narcissistic relationship, weighed down by depression or anxiety, or living in fear because of past or current violence, you don’t have to face it alone. These struggles can leave you feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure of where to turn. My role is to provide a safe, steady space where we can work together to help you regain clarity, strength, and control over your life.

For more than two decades, I’ve helped people untangle the effects of harmful relationships, cope with emotional pain, and rebuild their sense of self. I specialize in working with individuals navigating narcissistic abuse, interpersonal violence, self-injury, and other high-risk situations. As a result of research that I have engaged in, I also bring expertise in assessing and managing safety concerns, including intimate partner violence and school threats.

In our work together, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My approach is supportive and collaborative—I’ll listen closely, help you make sense of what you’re going through, and offer practical tools for managing stress and finding healthier patterns. I may encourage journaling, grounding exercises, or lifestyle habits that support your healing, but always in ways that fit your life.

Reaching out is often the hardest step, but it can also be the beginning of lasting change. If you’re ready to take back your sense of peace and direction, I would be honored to walk alongside you on that journey.

My approach to therapy

In terms of additional approaches, I am fond of encouraging clients to journal their thoughts and feelings, as well as providing subject relevant worksheets. I also encourage physical exercise as their current mobility allows and well balanced diets. Further I encourage healthy entertainment, such as comedy movies or television shows, and also outdoor activities with family or friends. With clients I do often suggest to them reading, or listening, to pertinent materials related to their circumstances. One area that is of particular interest to me, and that I have done a good deal of time learning about, is people within, or having a grave potential to be, victims of interpersonal violence.

What you can expect from me

As clients and I work together, clients should be able to take away a clearer understanding of the emotional feelings and circumstances they are experiencing and to learn and internalize healthy methods to aid them in managing the experiences.
