Great to meet you!

I work collaboratively with individuals to recognize their strengths, values, and changes they want to make. My approach to therapy blends my unique background in both social work and clinical psychology. Personally, I was born and raised in San Diego and branched out to gain unique experiences, and ultimately settled back home. Other interesting facts include that I played collegiate soccer, try to exercise when I’m not spending time with family, and am an avid hip hop fan.

My approach to therapy

While I consider myself a generalist, my specialties include depression, anxiety, health-related issues (e.g., diabetes), healthy lifestyle changes, trauma, stress management, and Veterans. Additionally, I've worked in various settings including medical facilities, the VA, community mental health, and inpatient. My primary counseling approaches are Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy while incorporating mindfulness, relaxation, and solution-focused techniques.

What you can expect from me

Beginning with establishing rapport, I strive to help people feel heard and understood. My focus is helping people create the positive changes they desire by tapping into the strengths that are often overlooked or not recognized. At the end of the day you're an expert in your own life and I collaborate with you to identify what's going on to help create change. Helping people create positive change in their lives is something I value highly and something I'm lucky to do for a living.
