I like to think I have an universal personality in which practically everybody can get along with and identify with. I try to build rapport early on in the relationship. I want folks to relax and just be themselves as they relate to me their issues they would like to work through. I do what I can to make folks at ease throughout the process.
I am a Carl Rogers -type of clinician and I embrace a client-centered approach. I focus on working on finding solutions to their goals on their treatment plans, but in such a way that it is conversational and relaxed in nature.
I try to make the impression that clients will take away from the first session that they have engaged with a person who has their best interests in mind and I will do everything in my power to help enhance their lives in areas they need improving the most. They will be convinced they have a sincere helper in me.
