Great to meet you!

I believe that the aim of therapy should be to target the roots of challenging symptoms with the goal of transforming them and enacting lasting change. I believe that often the roots of persistent symptoms go back to childhood or an earlier time in your life, and symptoms such as anxiety, depression, mistrust, and even unrelenting critical voices once served a useful or even protective function when times were very stressful and when you didn’t feel seen, heard, or protected. In its broadest sense, I believe therapy is about healing these wounds and providing a corrective emotional experience and not just a set of techniques.

My approach to therapy

Although I am a generalist with a lot of experience working with anxiety and depression, I also specialize in trauma (including PTSD and complex trauma) and couples therapy, where my main focus is on the cycle happening between you and your partner with the goal of both partners having their deepest needs met by each other.

What you can expect from me

My goal is for you to adapt to any stressful situations, heal your wounds, leave your difficult past behind you, and empower you to approach your future with confidence and wholeness. I care about my clients and am dedicated to continually learning for them. Our first session will involve me actively listening and taking careful notes about your history, most challenging symptoms, and goals for therapy. This is a time when we get to know each other, and it's a central principal for me in therapy that I am genuine person with you. Although I have a responsibility to provide you with help, I also see my relationship with clients as one of being a fellow traveler with them in this incredible, beautiful, and sometimes stressful experience we call life. I am glad to speak with you to determine whether working together feels like a good fit for you.
