Great to meet you!

I received a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Ohio University and practiced in a mental health agency for 2 years before becoming independently licensed as a therapist. I was an elementary school teacher for 7 years before going into the mental health field. I enjoy all populations and specialize in men's issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking, golf, trips to Canada and camping with my 2 sons and wife.

My approach to therapy

I like to assess the client's needs and goals and use the best therapy approach to fit the client. I enjoy EMDR, solution focused and acceptance and commitment therapy among others. Each client has different needs and therapy needs to be tailored to maximize success.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to be heard, validated and affirmed. Clients can also expect to be challenged and encouraged to look at their situation and circumstances from different angles. Clients can also expect to feel that they are being given tools to ultimately improve their mental health and overall functioning.
