Great to meet you!

Life has a way of throwing challenges at us that we never quite feel prepared for — whether it's a relationship that feels broken, a grief that won't lift, an anxiety that follows you everywhere, or a sense that you've lost your footing somewhere along the way. If any of that resonates, you've come to the right place.

My clinical practice is built around the areas where people tend to struggle most deeply: relationships, communication, conflict resolution, divorce and separation, grief and loss, anxiety, and the complex emotional terrain of mid-life transitions. I've spent years working with individuals who are navigating some of life's most disorienting chapters, and I bring both professional expertise and genuine compassion to every session.

Two of the core frameworks I draw from are Transactional Analysis and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Transactional Analysis is a therapeutic approach that helps you understand how past experiences — especially those from childhood — shape the way you communicate and relate to others today. It gives us a shared language for exploring patterns in your relationships and finding healthier ways to connect. CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, focuses on identifying the unhelpful thought patterns that fuel anxiety, depression, and conflict, and replacing them with more grounded, realistic ways of thinking. Together, these approaches give us both the insight to understand where things went off track and the practical tools to move forward.

Whether you're working through the end of a marriage, struggling to communicate with someone you love, grieving a loss, managing anxiety that feels out of control, or simply feeling like you've arrived at a crossroads and aren't sure which way to turn — I'm here to help you find your way through.

My approach to therapy

Therapy, at its best, is a partnership — and that's exactly how I approach it. I don't believe in a distant, clinical dynamic where I sit across from you as an authority figure handing down answers. Instead, I see us as collaborators. You bring your lived experience, your instincts, and your understanding of your own life. I bring clinical training, a fresh perspective, and a set of tools that can help us make sense of what you're going through together.

My style is interactive and relationship-focused, which means our sessions are conversations — real, honest, and engaged. I ask questions that invite reflection, I challenge patterns that might be holding you back, and I offer perspectives that can help you see your situation from a new angle. At the same time, I follow your lead. You set the pace. You determine what we explore and how deep we go. My job is to make sure you feel supported and understood every step of the way.

I work with clients on everything from building better communication skills in relationships to processing deep grief, navigating the identity shifts that come with mid-life transitions, and untangling the anxiety that can make everyday life feel exhausting. No matter what brings you to therapy, my commitment is the same: to show up fully for you, session after session, and help you build the insight and skills to create real, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is intentionally relaxed and low-pressure. I know that walking into a therapist's office for the first time — or logging into a video session — can feel vulnerable and even a little intimidating. My goal is to make you feel at ease from the moment we start.

We'll spend most of our time getting to know each other. I'll ask you some open-ended questions about what's bringing you to therapy, what's been going on in your life, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. There are no wrong answers, and there's nothing you need to prepare or have figured out in advance. You don't need to arrive with a clear diagnosis or a tidy explanation of your problems — that's what we'll work through together over time.

I also want you to feel free to ask me questions. The first session is just as much about you getting a sense of who I am and how I work as it is about me learning about you. A good therapeutic relationship is built on trust, comfort, and genuine connection — and that starts right here, in session one.

By the time we wrap up, you'll have a sense of what working together will look like, and we'll begin to sketch out a direction for our sessions going forward. Most importantly, you'll leave knowing you have a dedicated partner in this process — someone who is fully in your corner.
