Great to meet you!

From UCLA I earned a PhD in Psychology and a Master of Social Welfare degree.

My clinical license is in Social Work (LCSW).

I have been providing psychotherapy in private practice and in community agencies for many years.

For about 20 years I served in corporate management, director and training roles in mental health managed care companies.

I am located in Encino, CA

My approach to therapy

I draw from several psychotherapeutic approaches and use what my clients are comfortable with yet challenged by.

I may utilize:

-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR Certified Therapist)

-Cognitive Behavioral or Dialectical Behavior Therapy

-Relationship and communication skills

-Attachment Theory and Psychodynamic Therapy

-Mindfulness/spiritual exploration

-Recovery model

-Group psychotherapy

What you can expect from me

Clients typically work with me individually once a week for 6-12 months.

We look at all areas of their life, how they are interconnected and how small changes can start building into bigger changes.

We find skills and options that the client has control over.

We identify patterns in the present and connections to the past, especially key parental relationships and experiences.

Clients really want to talk deeply and openly about things they don't feel comfortable talking with anyone else about.
