Great to meet you!

I was born and raised in Southern California by my parents and two older sisters. We were an athletic family, swimming and water polo were our primary sports. I earned my BA in Psychology from UCLA in 2004 and my MS in Counseling Psychology from Cal Lutheran in 2007. I interned under and worked along side Adult and Child Psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Hollingsworth, MD, in Oxnard, CA from 2007 to 2013. The last ten years I have been employed by a school district to provide mental health services on site at a public high school. My family and I now reside in Chapin, South Carolina where I have my private practice.

My approach to therapy

When you are depressed, everything feels heavy and appears dark. You want to feel better, but you just don't know how and you are beginning to lose hope. When you are anxious and overwhelmed, you feel like life is out of control and it is all just too much to manage. You want to feel peace, calm, and confidence for once, but you don't know where to begin to fix it. Or perhaps your addiction is wreaking havoc on your life, and if you don't get help, you could lose everything. You are sick and tired of feeling sick and tired, so you are ready to get to work, make some changes, and get your life back on the right track.

Every person is unique, so I will work with you to uncover your concerns and come up with a plan to achieve your goals. I like using EMDR Therapy to help clients overcome past negative experiences that may be contributing to their current struggles. Often clients have pessimistic beliefs about themselves and the world, EMDR can help defeat these beliefs.

What you can expect from me

I have a good sense of humor and an easy going personality, so providing a relaxed and joyful experience is important to me. Give me a call and we can discuss whether I am a good fit for you. I am working with clients both In-Person and via Telehealth at my Chapin, South Carolina office, and I am providing Telehealth services for clients in California.
