Great to meet you!

I've been doing this work for over 43 years — and what still drives me is the same thing that did at the start: watching people move from stuck to unstuck. I've worked in hospitals, managed clinical teams, and sat across from thousands of people navigating everything from anxiety and relationship strain to grief, addiction, and life transitions. I bring all of that with me into every session.

I work with adults, adolescents, seniors, couples, and families. I'm comfortable with complexity — whether that's a teenager struggling with identity, a couple navigating communication breakdown, or an adult dealing with a chronic illness diagnosis. I offer telehealth sessions across Arizona, so geography isn't a barrier to getting started.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical and collaborative — I'm not going to give you generic advice or hand you a worksheet and call it a day. I use evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and ACT alongside trauma-informed care, but how we use them depends entirely on what you need. I believe that insight without action doesn't create change, so we'll focus on what's actually happening in your daily life and build from there.

I pay close attention to patterns — in how you think, how you communicate, how you respond under pressure — and I help you develop concrete tools to shift them. Therapy with me tends to feel direct and purposeful, but also warm. I'm not here to analyze you from a distance; I'm here to work alongside you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I want to hear your story — not just the presenting problem, but what brought you to this point. You don't need to have it figured out or know exactly what you want to work on. That's what we'll figure out together.

I'll ask questions, listen carefully, and start getting a sense of your strengths, your history, and what's getting in the way. By the end, we'll have a beginning — a shared understanding of where you are and where you'd like to go. Most clients leave the first session feeling heard, and often, a little lighter. That's a good starting point.
