Great to meet you!

I have been serving individuals and families in the behavioral health field since the 1980s, beginning my career as an addictions counselor working with clients facing substance use and co-occurring challenges. My professional training in Marriage and Family Therapy was completed in Philadelphia, providing a strong foundation in systems-based and relationship-focused treatment approaches. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing counseling and therapeutic services to adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. My approach integrates decades of clinical experience with a compassionate, evidence-based focus on helping clients achieve meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach integrates systems-based and process-oriented treatment with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I use supportive questioning, direct feedback, and collaborative solution-focused exploration to help clients understand patterns, develop effective coping skills, and achieve meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy is most effective when counselor and client work together in a respectful and engaging partnership focused on practical solutions and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, we will discuss the concerns that brought you to counseling, your personal and family history, and the goals you would like to achieve. Using supportive questioning, direct feedback, and a collaborative approach, I will help you begin identifying patterns, strengths, and practical solutions. Clients often leave the first session with greater clarity about their situation and an initial plan for moving forward
