Great to meet you!

I studied Philosophy/Religion at Greenville College; Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy at Gonzaga U; and Counseling Psychology at Indiana State. I have been a licensed psychologist in Indiana since 1993 with 17 years of prior experience in at group home and as a therapist in Seattle and Anchorage. I have worked extensively with veterans, families, and children who deal with trauma, relationship, vocational, and emotional distress.

My approach to therapy

My counseling employs a systems approach using Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment, and Sensorimotor Informed Therapies. Relationships (with ourselves and others) are crucial to our lives and a sense of fulfillment. I work best with people who are willing to take a reflective and contemplative perspective on their distress. I am very comfortable discussing spiritual formation and growth.

What you can expect from me

The first session focuses on rapport building and exploration of the ability to work constructively together. I explore intra- and inter-personal aspects of the presenting concerns, goal setting, treatment planning, and expected timeframes for therapy from both personal and reimbursement parameters.
