Great to meet you!

About Me & My Practice

If you feel like your life is being held hostage by substances or compulsive behaviors, you’ve likely already tried to stop on your own. I specialize in working with adults and high-functioning professionals who are tired of the "double life" that addiction creates. Whether you are facing a breaking point in your career or your relationships, I offer a path out of the cycle.

With over 10 years of experience in the addiction field, I provide a dual-focus approach. We will address the immediate need for sobriety and coping skills while simultaneously digging into the underlying trauma or anxiety that fuels the urge to escape. My goal is to help you build a life you no longer feel the need to hide from.

Beyond individual therapy, I am highly experienced in professional intervention services. I help families navigate a loved one’s struggle with clarity and strategy, moving the entire family system toward healing.

My Approach & Style

My style blends clinical expertise with deep empathy. I am not a "blank slate" therapist; I am an active collaborator. I utilize evidence-based tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to provide you with a concrete roadmap for change. I believe in treating the root cause, not just the symptoms, ensuring that your recovery is sustainable and deeply rooted in self-understanding.

Education & Background

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). As a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) with over a decade of frontline experience in addiction and mental health, I bring a high level of specialized knowledge to every session. My professional background spans partial care treatment, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and private practice, giving me a comprehensive understanding of the recovery continuum.

My approach to therapy

My approach is high-energy, direct, and solution-oriented. I believe that therapy should be an active, collaborative process, not a passive one. I am here to be a mirror and a motivator, challenging the thoughts and behaviors that keep you stuck in the cycle of addiction while providing a safe, empathetic space to do the deep work.

I am a strong advocate of 12-step recovery principles and often integrate these timeless strategies into our clinical work to provide a sturdy framework for sobriety. My style is rooted in 'radical honesty' and evidence-based action—we won't just talk about the problem; we will work together to build a concrete roadmap for your recovery and long-term mental health. If you are looking for a therapist who will push you toward your potential and hold you accountable to the life you want to live, we will be a great fit.

What you can expect from me

What can clients expect from their first session with you?

In our first session, you can expect a balance of deep listening and active, high-energy collaboration. I don’t believe in a passive first hour—we will get to work immediately.

For Individuals: We will begin by mapping out the ‘double life’ that addiction often creates. We’ll look at the immediate stressors in your career and relationships, and I will share my initial clinical impressions. You will leave this session with a clear understanding of my 12-step integrated approach and a tangible sense of hope that a life you don't need to escape from is actually possible.

For Families: If you are reaching out about a loved one, our first session is a strategy-building hour. We will discuss the current family dynamic, identify patterns of enabling or crisis, and start outlining the framework for a professional intervention. My goal is to move you from a place of fear to a place of empowered action.

By the end of our first meeting, we will have a baseline plan for your recovery or your family’s path forward. You’ll get a true feel for my direct, solution-oriented style and how my 10+ years of experience can be applied specifically to your situation.
