Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Johnna Bolender and I am a LMHCD and a Master CASAC in NYS! I have been practicing since 2019, and specialize in Addiction and Trauma. I earned my Master's Degree from Niagara University in Lewiston NY. I use a straight forward approach to therapy, and typically don't sugar coat things. I will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear, and will challenge you to be the best version of yourself!

My approach to therapy

I specialize my approach to whomever I am working with and do my best to create a safe welcoming atmosphere for therapy! I understand that ever individual is unique and will tailor my approach to whatever your individual needs are. I am also trained in EMDR therapy as well, in addition to standard techniques that I use.

What you can expect from me

Typically in the first session, I keep it lowkey! We just discuss whatever you are comfortable with surrounding around why you are seeking therapy. We will go over practice policies, and create initial therapy goals! I will also answer any questions that you may have about the therapy process or myself.
