Great to meet you!

Hello! I have 15+ years experience as psychotherapist. I am licensed as a clinical social worker in Oregon and Washington and also have my Certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling in Oregon. I am a trauma specialist and am experienced in utilizing Prolonged Exposure Protocols, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, and Internal Family Systems to assist people in healing from past trauma. I also specialize in treating addictions, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, transitions, and issues around sexuality, chronic pain and disabilities.

My approach to therapy

Our work will be grounded in a deep respect for the worth of all human experiences. Together, we’ll confront difficult truths and celebrate your strengths. While we don’t choose our biology, genetics, or early life circumstances, I believe with knowledge, compassion, and determination, we can align our lives more closely with our deepest values and goals. My approach is framed by balancing rigorous training and standards with individualizing care, friendly approachability and direct empathetic feedback.

What you can expect from me

Understanding how you have come to have the problems you have allows a shift into acceptance and understanding - instead of blame and shame. Through our work together, you could move from shame to self acceptance and action in line with your values and goals. We'll work to identify and address the internal and external barriers you have experienced to making the changes that you want. We'll shift focus between past and present, depending on which emphasis is needed for each particular situation and to find the solutions that best fit for you.
