Great to meet you!

You might be a mom running on empty. Or someone who's been through more than most people know — and still shows up for everyone else anyway. Or maybe you're just trying to figure out why things feel harder than they should. Whatever brought you here, you don't have to have it together before you reach out. I work with men, women, children, and teens across central and southern Wisconsin. My profile shows 2 years of experience, but in reality I have 12 years of experience in the field including community mental health, substance use disorders, autism, geriatric care, and end-of-life support. My direct work with clients in the field gives me perspective and a real understanding of what people carry at every stage of life.

My approach to therapy

I'm humorous, open-minded, and genuinely curious about what makes you tick. Sessions are a conversation: I'll challenge you when it's useful and sit with you when it's not. I draw from cognitive behavioral strategies, DBT skills, mindfulness tools, and relapse prevention to find what actually fits you — not a one-size-fits-all plan. Whatever you're navigating, I'd rather meet you where you are than where I expect you to be.

What you can expect from me

The first session is low-pressure. I'll ask what brought you here, what's felt hardest, and what you're hoping to feel differently. You don't need to have your story perfectly organized — most people don't, and that's fine. That’s not how life works right? A lot of clients leave that first conversation surprised by how much lighter they feel just from having a space to say it out loud.
