Great to meet you!

I began my career as a special education teacher, but I always aspired to be a licensed counselor. I attended Hardin-Simmons University and received my degree in Counseling and Human Development. I have experience working in various settings, including the psychiatric prison system, juvenile justice system, with the elderly population, and as a school counselor. I am interested in working with adolescents, adults, and seniors.

My approach to therapy

Each therapy session is tailored to the individual client. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a key approach to help clients recognize negative thoughts, challenge them, and ultimately shift their emotions and behaviors. Additionally, I have received specialized training in trauma-focused CBT.

What you can expect from me

In the initial session, we’ll go over the therapy process and confidentiality. You’ll have the chance to share any concerns you may have and set goals for what you’d like to work on. We’ll also discuss coping skills that can support your progress.
