Great to meet you!

Welcome, I appreciate you considering me as your therapist! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Trauma Professional, with advanced training in grief and loss. I support preteens, adolescents, and adults who are addressing various concerns including, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, stress, and life transitions. I place a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship between myself and my clients. Through compassion and humor, I am able to build a strong foundation of trust and rapport with those whom I support.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in being person-centered and relational, whereby I offer a warm and compassionate presence. I view the therapeutic process as a journey of self-discovery. I will follow your lead and pace to explore past experiences and their impact on the present, increase personal insight, manage stress and symptoms, and to develop effective coping strategies. I will utilize techniques from various modalities to create an approach that is unique to your needs, working collaboratively with you to help you identify and achieve your goals.

What you can expect from me

Beginning in your first session you can expect that we will focus on having meaningful conversation, where I will serve as a guide alongside you, offering a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your experiences and inner workings. In subsequent sessions we will continue with this framework while making efforts towards self-growth and positive change. My goal as your therapist is to help you discover your own motivation for change and to empower you to build resilience and confidence in your ability to handle life’s challenges. I will work to help you strengthen self-awareness and gain skills to effectively manage your thoughts, feelings and behaviors, necessary for personal healing and growth.
