Great to meet you!

My path to becoming a therapist was not a direct one. Having worked in retail, design, production management, theater, law and corporate training are some of the trails I took on the way to finding my place here: connecting with people and helping them achieve their goals. It is the lessons I learned on this journey that provided me with the compassion, experience and wisdom that I bring to my relationships with clients today.

My approach to therapy

My focus is on active engagement with you, the client. My approach involves the use of creative arts interventions informed by a Humanist approach and elements of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treatment model. Typically, I invite and guide clients to express their here-and-now experience using their own sense of creativity and spontaneity. We seek to identify core beliefs and assumptions, and bring awareness and insight into behaviors, thoughts and feelings.

What you can expect from me

My goal is for you to have an awareness of the strengths and skills you possess, and an instinct to know when and how best to use these in your life journey. As well, I wish for you to be kind to yourself; to know there is always more to learn about ourselves and our relationships. I believe life is a journey, not a destination, and we are always adapting.
