Great to meet you!

About Me

Taking the step to reach out for therapy often comes during a personal crisis or a feeling that life simply isn't working as well as it could. Recognizing that you need a shift takes courage, and finding the right support shouldn't feel like another obstacle.

For the past 17 years, I have worked in the mental health field and been a licensed Social Worker for the past 5. My work has taken a deep focus on supporting active-duty military members, veterans, and their families. That experience has shaped my belief that real healing happens in a grounded, collaborative space where you are heard and respected.

My approach to therapy

How We’ll Work Together

I don’t have magical powers, and I won't pretend to have all the answers for your life. What I bring to the table is standard-of-care clinical training, nearly two decades of hands-on experience, and a genuine commitment to helping you find your way forward.

My role isn't to tell you what to do; it’s to help you navigate where you are.

Think of it like being in a maze: When you're inside, it's frustrating, overwhelming, and hard to see past the next wall. My job is to step back with you and look at the maze from above. From that perspective, we can map out the pathways together, giving you the clarity to make thoughtful, intentional decisions rather than purely emotional ones.

My Approach

  • Active Listening & Collaboration: I ask targeted questions and listen deeply to understand your unique situation.
  • Empowerment: You remain in the driver's seat. We look at the options together, but you determine what is best for your life.
  • Shelter from the Storm: I aim to create an environment where you can speak candidly, drop the weight you've been carrying, and figure out your next steps without judgment.

Whether you are navigating a major life transition, dealing with stress and trauma, or simply feeling stuck, we can work together to map out a path that works for you.

What you can expect from me

In a first session I like to spend time getting to know you, what brings you to therapy, and what you would like to accomplish in our time together.

To help with this I ask a lot of questions geared towards getting to know you. What your life has looked like up to this point, and when you noticed the current challenges becoming present or getting heavy.
