Great to meet you!

My name is Jonah, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Sunflower Wellness. I work primarily with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity questions, and life transitions, and I have particular experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients. I’ve provided therapy in university counseling and other outpatient settings, and I care deeply about creating a space where you feel understood without needing to filter or perform.

My approach to therapy

My approach blends cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with insight-oriented and relational work. In practice, that means we focus both on practical tools that help day to day and on understanding the deeper patterns shaping how you think, feel, and relate to others. Therapy with me is collaborative and paced to fit you. I’ll listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and gently challenge you when it helps move things forward. The goal is not just short-term relief, but lasting clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to slow down and talk about what has been weighing on you and what you hope might feel different. You do not need to have everything figured out. We will clarify goals together and make a simple, realistic plan for where to start. Most importantly, I focus on creating an environment that feels calm, respectful, and genuinely welcoming. Many clients tell me they feel more at ease than they expected, which is a pretty good place to begin.
