Great to meet you!

Sometimes life can feel heavy even when there is not one single thing that explains why. Anxiety can make it difficult to slow your thoughts, depression can leave you feeling disconnected or unmotivated, and ongoing stress may make everyday responsibilities feel harder to manage. Grief and loss can bring their own sense of uncertainty as you adjust to changes you never expected. I work with children, infants and toddlers, teens, adults, and seniors experiencing anxiety, depression, stress management, grief and loss, and other concerns that may affect their emotional wellbeing. Whether you are working through a recent loss, feeling overwhelmed by stress, or simply recognizing that you are not feeling like yourself, therapy can provide a space to slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what you are experiencing. Together, we can build on your existing strengths and develop practical ways to help you feel more balanced and supported.

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both what you are experiencing right now and the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences that may be contributing to how you feel. We’ll explore how anxiety, stress, and grief or loss may be affecting your day-to-day life while creating space to understand what you need in order to feel more grounded and capable. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and develop healthier ways of responding, Behavioral Activation to help you gradually reconnect with activities and experiences that can support motivation and emotional wellbeing, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy to identify strengths and practical steps toward the changes you want to make. Our sessions will be collaborative, supportive, and focused on meeting you where you are, with an emphasis on developing tools that feel realistic for your life rather than expecting change to happen all at once.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. During our first few sessions, we will spend time understanding what brought you in, what has been most difficult, and what you hope will feel different. Together, we will identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic and decide where it makes the most sense to begin. You can expect me to listen with patience and without judgment while helping you identify practical ways to manage what you are facing. Progress may look like feeling less overwhelmed by anxiety, finding your motivation again when depression makes things feel difficult, managing stress more effectively, or learning how to move through grief while still making room for the life ahead of you. We will continue checking in on your goals and adjust our work as your needs change
