Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Dr. Jonathan Huffman, a licensed psychologist, board certified behavior analyst, and certified therapist in parent-child interaction therapy. I enjoy providing evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, via telehealth. I specialize in treating OCD, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, behavioral concerns, and parent-child relationship challenges using scientifically supported approaches including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel understood while developing practical skills to overcome challenges and build lasting change. I tailor treatment to each individual's unique needs, drawing from the latest research to help clients achieve meaningful improvements in their daily lives.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, goal-oriented, and tailored to your unique needs. My approach is warm, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based treatments that have been shown to create meaningful, lasting change. Together, we'll identify your goals, better understand the challenges you're facing, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing OCD, anxiety, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, and behavioral concerns. I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD, as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). I also have experience supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and helping parents build stronger, more positive relationships with their children.

Whether you're struggling with intrusive thoughts, anxiety, parenting challenges, or life transitions, my goal is to help you build effective skills, increase confidence, and create lasting improvements in your daily life. I promise to support you through the use of evidence-based practices and challenge you through the use of acceptance and change strategies to achieve well-being.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and sharing your experiences.

As we gather information, I'll explain my diagnostic impressions and how mental health diagnoses are determined. I believe clients deserve to understand the reasoning behind treatment recommendations, so I'll discuss the scientific evidence supporting the approaches I recommend and how they align with your specific goals. By the end of our session, you'll have a clearer understanding of your concerns, a roadmap for treatment, and practical next steps toward meaningful change.
