Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges with empathy, compassion, and understanding. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and valued. My areas of specialization include depression, anxiety, adjustment and life transitions, and LGBTQ+ affirming care, among other concerns. Together, we work to build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and foster meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength-Based Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Problem-Solving Therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. While it’s natural to want relief as quickly as possible, meaningful change takes time, and therapy is a collaborative journey. I strive to meet clients where they are, honoring their individual experiences and pace. In our work together, we’ll explore both the challenges you’re facing and the strengths, successes, and positive moments in your life, recognizing that growth comes from understanding the whole person. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where sessions feel like genuine conversations while remaining focused, purposeful, and grounded in effective therapeutic practices.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We’ll start by discussing what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from the counseling process. I’ll also ask about different areas of your life, including your family, relationships, interests, and strengths, so I can better understand you as a whole person. Throughout the session, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, share any concerns, and learn more about my approach to therapy. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and confident as we begin working together.
