Great to meet you!

I have over 25 years of experience across private practice, medical centers and academic settings. My training includes working at institutions such as Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Duke University Medical Center, the National Intrepid Center of Excellence as well in government contractor roles where she served as a subject matter expert in Primary Care Behavioral Health.

My approach to therapy

I draw from several psychotherapeutic approaches and tailor treatment to the needs and goals of each client. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy to decrease distress, promote helpful ways of thinking and enhance quality of life. I use interpersonal psychotherapy to help clients experience more fulfillment in relationships, improve communication skills, and build meaningful social connections. I also incorporate mindfulness-based approaches to reduce stress and cultivate positive states. My approach is centered in an appreciation of the strengths that clients have. I provide a kind, welcoming presence that affirms clients across the full spectrum of their identities and lived experiences.

What you can expect from me

I collaborate with clients to set actionable plans with strategies they can use between sessions to feel and function better.
