Great to meet you!

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 34 years of nursing experience and more than two decades in psychiatric and mental health care. My approach is clinically grounded, holistic, and centered on helping you reconnect with your own Inner Compass — your sense of clarity, balance, and direction.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and substance use challenges. Treatment may include evidence-based medication management along with supportive therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.

My goal is to provide a collaborative, whole-person approach that supports your emotional well-being while helping you better understand what you need, where you want to go, and how to move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is grounded in the belief that each person has an Inner Compass — an internal sense of clarity, resilience, and direction that can become harder to access during times of stress, change, or emotional difficulty. My role is to help you reconnect with that compass while providing thoughtful, evidence-based guidance and support along the way.

I believe meaningful progress happens through a collaborative and respectful partnership. Together, we will develop a treatment approach that reflects your individual needs, values, and goals. My style is warm, thoughtful, and practical, with a focus on creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a 50-minute comprehensive evaluation focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to care. We will talk about your current concerns, symptoms, mental health history, life experiences and stressors, as well as what you hope to gain from treatment.

My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your story and feel genuinely heard and understood.

Together, we will begin identifying your goals and developing a personalized treatment plan that reflects your individual needs and preferences. This may include medication management, supportive therapy, practical coping strategies, or a combination of approaches.

By the end of our first session, my hope is that you leave with a clearer understanding of what you are experiencing, an initial plan for treatment, and a greater sense of direction about the path forward. The first visit is an opportunity to begin reconnecting with your Inner Compass — with support, thoughtful guidance, and a plan that feels right for you.
