Great to meet you!

Welcome to your fresh start. Take a deep breath—because the hardest part is over: you’re here.

I’m Joni, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I offer both medication management and therapy, tailored to support you in finding balance, peace, and purpose in your life. Whether you’re navigating ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, suicidal thoughts, or psychotic disorders, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, clinical expertise, and a holistic approach to healing.

Later this year I plan to add the option of in person, on site equine assisted mental health therapy at Bellwood Haven in central Indiana. In the meantime I support all forms of animal assisted therapy and can assist with documentation when appropriate.

I believe healing is not one-size-fits-all. My goal is to help you rediscover your strength, joy, and the real you. Let’s take that next step together.

My approach to therapy

Many of my clients come to me after feeling unseen or misunderstood in traditional mental health settings. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where your voice is heard and your experiences are honored. Together, we’ll explore both conventional and alternative treatments to create a plan that feels right for you—whether that includes medication, therapy, spiritual support, or lifestyle changes.

What you can expect from me

Being a PMHNP, I’m skilled in medication management and able to prescribe psychiatric medication including controlled substances. I couple that with therapeutic techniques to help you reach your goals holistically. I always encourage the inclusion of additional talk therapy for my clients. As a Christian, I value the healing power of prayer—but I also respect and support clients from all walks of life. If prayer isn’t your path, I offer other forms of mindfulness and meditation to help ground and center you. I also utilise traditional methods such as CBT,DBT and Behavioral Modification among other methods of therapy.

I believe healing is not one-size-fits-all. My goal is to help you rediscover your strength, joy, and the real you. Let’s take that next step together.
