Great to meet you!

I view therapy as a collaboration - you are the expert on your own experience and my role is to be an ally who shares observations and provides opportunities for growth. Together, we'll work to increase insight, self-compassion, and behavioral change to get you closer to where you want to be.

I specialize in working with individuals with substance use disorders, those who identify as AUDHD, and caregivers and family members who need help setting boundaries and taking care of themselves while taking care of their loved ones. I am passionate about helping individuals who feel burnt out, disconnected, and unsure of what to do next.

My clinical background includes addiction treatment, trauma-informed care, family systems work, and rehabilitation counseling for adjustment to disability.

My approach to therapy

My clients would generally characterize my approach as warm, direct, and empowering with a hint of humor sprinkled throughout.

I think clear language is kind language. I think talking about the uncomfortable stuff can be a helpful thing in therapy as long as you feel safe and empowered to do so. And I think sometimes what we need is someone to listen without judgment and then help us reflect and analyze after the fact.

What you can expect from me

I know intake sessions can feel scary and you might be uncomfortable telling your life story to a complete stranger. Totally fair. My goal is to provide a safe environment for you to tell me what's going on, and to get the lay of the land so that we can come up with a plan together.
