Great to meet you!

I believe therapy works best when you can show up as yourself without having to pretend that everything is okay. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience providing individual, family, and group counseling across school-based, community, and crisis settings. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fort Valley State University and have worked with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, emotional regulation, and trauma. I am especially passionate about creating an approachable space for people who may have been hesitant about therapy, including men who have learned to carry a lot without always having a place to put it down.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to the person sitting in front of me. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. My style is conversational and supportive, but I also believe in accountability and will challenge patterns that may no longer be serving you. I want to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and develop tools you can use beyond our sessions. Therapy with me is about understanding what has shaped you, deciding what you want to carry forward, and intentionally building what comes next.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know one another and understanding what brought you to therapy. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or having everything figured out. We'll discuss your concerns, relevant experiences, strengths, and what you would like to be different in your life. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions and decide whether I am the right therapist for you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, with greater clarity about what we're working toward and a sense that there is a path forward.
