Jordan De Kenessey Chapman

I do this work because it’s genuinely close to my heart. I have 7 years of professional experience as a psychotherapist and 22 years of personal experience as a patient. My parents had severe problems which deeply affected me as a child, and I was lucky enough to meet an excellent therapist who truly changed my life. I became a therapist so I can help people in the way that he helped me. I know what it's like to be patient and therapist, which I believe gives me a unique perspective and approach. We'll develop a safe, supportive and trusting relationship and I won't pressure you beyond what you're ready for.

My approach is relational and psychodynamic. I also have experience working with clients of diverse backgrounds including racial/ethnic, socio-economic, gender and sexual orientations, and religious/spiritual beliefs.

The patient knows where to start. I'll get to know your background while you tell me about what's really going on in your life and why you're looking for help.
