Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Jordan and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I graduated from Capella University with my PhD and began my career working with crisis-oriented clients. I now work with individuals who may feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. I specialize in somatic therapy, aiming to heal the nervous system for better overall health. Whether you are working through past experiences, navigating a difficult relationship or life transition, or struggling with confidence, my goal is for you to gain confidence and understanding to improve your life in a variety of ways. If you want to stop feeling stuck, take your life back, and find your purpose, I am here to guide you!

My approach to therapy

My approach combines CBT, Somatic Therapy, and neuroscience to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, nervous system, and physical experiences. I believe that healing isn’t just about changing the way we think, it’s also about understanding what our bodies have learned through trauma, stress, and life experiences.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to start; I’ll help guide the conversation. We’ll talk about what you’re currently experiencing, what you would like to change, and how your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and physical experiences may be connected. I’ll also learn more about your history and the patterns that may be contributing to what you’re experiencing today.

Because I use both traditional and somatic approaches, we may begin exploring not only what is happening emotionally and cognitively, but also how stress and emotions show up in your body. My neuroscience training helps inform how I explain these connections, so you can better understand what is happening in your brain and nervous system. Most importantly, the first session is not about having all the answers or immediately “fixing” everything. It’s about creating a comfortable, judgment-free space, identifying where you would like to begin, and developing a plan together for moving forward.

You can expect me to listen, ask questions, offer insight, and make sure your goals remain at the center of our work. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we’ll move at a pace that feels appropriate for you.
