I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years experience. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work. We all know life isn't easy and some problems are more challenging than others. The majority of clients are individuals seeking assistance with depression, anxiety, family/relationship problems and grief. Additionally, I work with individuals and families coordinating geriatric care.
My approach to treatment is client-centered, getting know a client as person, not a patient. Every client is an individual with individual needs and goals, as well as strengths. We work together to build upon those strengths to overcome your personal struggles.
Clients can expect sessions to focus on their individual needs and identifying what may be best for them. I may incorporate humor as my goal is for clients to feel comfortable and relaxed, enabling them to talk openly and freely. At times, clients may be given 'homework' as part of their therapy in order for them to incorporate what they've learned in our sessions in real life.
