Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Jordan Gruschow, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). With over eight years of experience, I have specialized in helping people untangle the challenges that weigh them down, whether that’s stress, anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, or the unique demands that come with being a parent, a partner, a first responder, or working in high-pressure environments. I’ve also walked alongside clients as they’ve found sobriety, healing, and new meaning in their relationship with alcohol. My experience with addiction counseling extends to all forms of substance use and addictive behaviors, creating a safe, supportive space to explore struggles and discover lasting recovery for my clients.

My approach to therapy

When people ask about my approach to providing therapy, my response is that I don’t believe in cookie-cutter therapy. My style is straightforward and collaborative. It is grounded in strengths-based and solution-focused therapy, empowering clients to build on their resilience and find practical strategies for growth and healing.

I use evidence-based approaches like, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help shift unhelpful thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills for emotion regulation and distress tolerance, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to support healing from trauma.

What you can expect from me

If you are seeking to start therapy, I want you to know that you don’t need to have everything figured out. All you need is a willingness to show up for yourself, and I’ll meet you there. In our sessions, you can expect us to laugh when it’s right, sit with the hard stuff when needed, and always move at a pace that feels safe but challenging. Stop just surviving and start living with intention. Your healing starts now.
