Great to meet you!

I am easy to talk to. I will help you feel safe and comfortable as you discuss your concerns. I have a good sense of humor. The majority of people I work with find the help they are looking for. If I don't think I can help you, I will let you know and help you transition to someone who may be better suited to your needs.

As a senior clinician, I have many years of training and experience in the provision of trauma informed care, serious mental illness and treatment for addictions, anxiety, and depression.

My approach to therapy

My approach is to learn about your concerns, the relationships that are important to you and about the family you grew up in. This helps me place into context the expectations you have for therapy. I am a good listener and will help you sort out both your long and short term goals. My practice orientation primarily cognitive and behavioral, which is integrated with many years of training and experience with family systems, facilitation of change and adjustment to growth.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will begin with discussing what brings you into therapy. You can expect me to be nonjudgmental about your concerns and I will provide feedback as we assess together therapeutic fit and comfort with proceeding. I will share my initial impressions and treatment approach to give you a sense of how we will proceed.
