Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in the care of children and adolescents. I earned both my BSN and PMHNP degree from the University of Saint Joseph. While completing my graduate training, I worked for three years as a psychiatric nurse providing care to children and adolescents, which gave me extensive hands-on experience supporting young people and their families.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. I work closely with children, adolescents, and their families to understand each child’s unique needs, strengths, and challenges, while also considering the goals and concerns of the family. I believe in creating a safe, supportive environment where young people feel heard and respected. Treatment is individualized and may include medication management, supportive therapy, and coordination with parents, schools, and other providers when appropriate. My goal is to develop care plans that fit both the child’s developmental needs and the family’s values, routines, and priorities, helping young people thrive at home, school, and in their communities

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I take time to get to know both the child or adolescent and their family. This initial visit includes a comprehensive evaluation of emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns, as well as a discussion of the child’s history, current challenges, and goals for treatment. I focus on creating a comfortable, supportive environment where questions are encouraged and everyone feels heard. By the end of the session, we will review recommendations and begin developing an individualized treatment plan that aligns with the child’s needs and the family’s priorities.
