Great to meet you!

You may appear capable on the outside while feeling anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that are no longer working. I help adults understand what is driving those patterns and make practical, lasting changes in their lives and relationships. I frequently work with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, and men’s mental health.

My style is direct, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I provide a supportive environment while also helping clients examine difficult thoughts, emotions, experiences, and relationship patterns. Together, we will identify what keeps you stuck, build on your strengths, and practice healthier ways of thinking, responding, and relating to others.

I have worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas since 2010.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered and grounded primarily in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I begin by understanding your history, current concerns, strengths, and goals. Together, we identify patterns in your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships that may be contributing to your difficulties.

Sessions may include practical coping strategies, emotional processing, challenging unhelpful beliefs, behavioral exercises, and direct but respectful feedback. I adapt the pace and methods to the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, what you would like to change, and what has or has not helped in the past. You will not be expected to tell your entire story at once. By the end of the session, we will identify initial goals and a practical next step. You will also have an opportunity to decide whether my approach and communication style feel like a good fit.
