Great to meet you!

I’m Jose, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in El Paso, and I work with people of all ages, from teens through older adults. I know reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, so I aim to make the process comfortable and approachable. I’m patient, a little funny, and willing to be direct when it matters. My goal is to offer a supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and respected.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, with elements of acceptance and commitment therapy and strengths-based work woven in. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts behind your feelings, notice patterns that may not be serving you, and identify your existing strengths. We’ll also build practical skills you can use outside of sessions, so therapy feels connected to your everyday life and the changes you want to make.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll begin by getting to know each other and talking about what’s bringing you to therapy. You’ll have space to share what has been difficult, ask questions, and describe what you hope will improve. Together, we’ll set a few simple, meaningful goals and discuss how we’ll work together. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of the process and what to expect moving forward.
