Great to meet you!

I have a doctorate in Counseling (Counselor Education and Supervision). I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida and a Qualified Supervisor for Mental Health and Marriage and Family interns. I have specialized training as a Certified Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and I am a Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. I am also a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider.

I provide counseling services in both English and Spanish.

My approach to therapy

I am a cognitive behavior and a person-centered therapist. I use empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness as foundations of a safe and helpful counseling relationship. I used a short-term approach to counseling with a specific number of sessions set at the start of the process, and a focus on facilitating for clients to not only feel better but actually get better. I am also multiculturally competent and able to work with diverse clients.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to take away from sessions two main things, the perception of being genuinely and actively listened to and validated in their concerns, as well as specific cognitive and behavioral skills to manage their difficulties in the real world.
