José is a native of South Texas who originally hails from Laredo. He is a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard and an alumnus of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. José has experience working with clients from a variety of backgrounds with many different presenting concerns. These include trauma, depression, anxiety, behavioral disorders in children, and those in the foster care system.

My approach to therapy

José utilizes an integrative approach with a primary focus in humanistic counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy. He believes the client is the expert on their lives and seeks to partner with clients to find solutions to their presenting concerns.
