Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health therapist dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. My goal is to help individuals navigate life’s challenges while building practical skills for emotional well-being and personal growth.

I hold formal training in mental health counseling and have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including community mental health and hospital-based care. My professional background has allowed me to support individuals across a wide range of concerns, from acute mental health needs to ongoing personal development.

I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, anger management concerns, and obsessive-compulsive behaviors. I also have experience facilitating group therapy, including process groups and psychoeducational groups focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and self-care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and client-centered. I often draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and strengths-based approaches to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I believe in meeting clients where they are and tailoring treatment to their unique needs and goals.

I am especially passionate about helping clients develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and build resilience. Whether you are seeking support for a specific issue or looking to better understand yourself, I am here to walk alongside you in your journey.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you and helping you feel comfortable. I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can share at your own pace.

We’ll start by talking about what brings you to therapy, any current challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to get out of our work together. I may ask questions about your background, including your mental health history, relationships, and daily functioning, to better understand the full picture of your experiences.

We’ll also review important information such as confidentiality, your rights as a client, and how the therapy process works. This is a great time for you to ask any questions you may have.

Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and discuss a plan for how we can move forward. While the first session is more focused on understanding your needs, I may also introduce a few initial coping strategies if appropriate.

Most importantly, this session is about building trust and making sure you feel supported. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we will go at a pace that feels right for you.
