Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Dr. Assouline (Dr. A). Welcome to my Headway page. My role as a psychotherapist involves joining you in uncovering underlying stressors as well as your strengths in order to create change. Life's challenges can be difficult and can even seem impossible to overcome. We may not know it in the moment but I believe we all have the strength and freedom within us to make choices that will help us meet these challenges.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Everyone I work with has their own story. I take a non-judgmental and open stance when listening to your story and help you find your inner strengths to problem-solve. My approach is tailored to you and takes into consideration your individual needs. I use evidence-based approaches to best help you work through difficult times.

What you can expect from our first session

Patients can expect to experience growth and relief with time and hard work. I am invested in creating a safe space for all, independent of race, culture, sexual orientation, age, or religion. Cultural awareness and appreciation of diversity are a keystone of my office and practice. Finding help can be hard. My door is open to anyone who is struggling (or even just to explore themselves) and is looking for compassionate treatment.
