Great to meet you!

Hello. I'm Joseph.

Do you feel so anxious it is hard to leave the house in the morning? Do you feel so depressed and sad that it is hard to get out of bed in the morning?

Anxiety and depression are common. You are not alone in feeling this way. I help people who struggle to deal with the stresses of life. Working together, we can identify what causes your depression and anxiety and work to find solutions which will make life easier for you. It is all about finding balance.

My experience allows me to help you deal with your stress, relationship issues, anxiety, trauma, or depression. Some people worry about what others will think if they seek out therapy. You are not alone. Many people deal with the same kind of things you deal with. Therapy is a place where many people come to heal and grow. It is a safe place where you can talk about whatever is on your mind and know that everything is confidential. Through compassion, empathy, and evidence-based techniques, we will find solutions for your problems and worries. Look forward to working with you!

My approach to therapy

Do you always feel like something bad will happen? Do you feel as if no one can love you? We often have automatic thoughts and behaviors which create issues in our life. These are patterns our mind gets trapped into. These thoughts lead us to isolate ourselves from life and other people. Together, we will work on the reasons you feel this way and new ways of handling life.

Do you feel as if you can't control your emotions or impulses? The brain often gets into a self-preservation mode. When our mind does this, we lose the ability to control ourselves. We can lash out at friends and family or become impulsive. DBT provides emotional regulation skills which will calm down those responses in the mind and help you feel more in control.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will explore the nature of your symptoms. I want to find out the drivers for your issues, and we will work to shrink the effects. We will work on the best ways to cope with these symptoms to make your days easier on you.
