Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience working with adults, teens, couples, and older adults. I provide a safe and confidential space for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. I utilize approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), spirituality, family structure, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-informed care, Prepare/Enrich couple therapy, and psychoeducation. These methods help address a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anger management, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), relationship problems, and family conflicts. I am dedicated to helping clients develop the skills and strategies they need to overcome life's challenges.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is a journey of self-exploration that everyone should undertake, and my role as a therapist is to empower my clients to help themselves. No one is perfect; everyone experiences some form of trauma throughout their lives, which can lead to maladaptive thoughts and coping mechanisms that negatively impact our psychoneuroimmune system. Often, we are unaware of these maladaptive patterns that can harm our mental and physical health, job performance, and relationships.

In my therapeutic approach, I strive to enhance my clients' self-awareness and provide them with tools to re-regulate their psychoneuroimmune system. This, in turn, helps improve their internal and external relationships, allowing them to address and resolve the challenges they face.

What you can expect from me

My clients can expect the following during our sessions:

1. Unconditional positive regard and support, which is essential for building rapport.

2. Thoughtfully crafted questions aimed at exploring your thoughts and behaviors to enhance your self-awareness.

3. Practical tools and methods to help you address the challenges you are facing.
