Great to meet you!

I became a therapist because I believe every person deserves a space where they can be honest — especially men, who are so often expected to just push through. I work with men dealing with depression, anxiety, and the kind of stress that builds quietly over time until it becomes hard to ignore. I'm a traveler, a jazz lover, a fisherman, and an Assistant Scoutmaster with Scouting America — and those parts of my life remind me daily that connection, perspective, and showing up for others are what make us whole. That's the same energy I bring into every session.

My approach to therapy

I know that for a lot of men, walking into a therapist's office — or even clicking "book a session" — takes real courage. My approach is direct but warm: I'll meet you where you are, without judgment, and we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and shift the thought patterns that keep you stuck, and Motivational Interviewing to help you tap into your own reasons for change. I find that the best sessions don't feel like a lecture or an interrogation — they feel like an honest conversation with someone who's genuinely in your corner.

What you can expect from me

The first session is simply about getting to know each other — there's no pressure to have everything figured out or to dive into the deep end right away. I'll ask questions, listen closely, and start to understand what's been weighing on you and what you're hoping life could look like on the other side of this. By the end, we'll have a clearer sense of what we're working toward together. Most clients leave that first session feeling a little lighter just from being heard — and that's exactly where I want us to start.
