Great to meet you!

Life rarely moves in a straight line. You may find yourself pulled in different directions by responsibilities, expectations, relationships, or emotions that quietly build over time. At times, it can feel hard to slow down or know where to start. Therapy offers a supportive space to pause, feel understood, and reconnect with what matters most to you or your family.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. Some clients come to therapy feeling stuck or disconnected, while others are seeking tools to better understand their emotions, strengthen coping skills, or support their child through a challenging season. Whether you are a parent looking for support for your child or an adult seeking clarity and balance, you are not alone in this process.

My approach is collaborative, grounded, and practical. I focus on helping clients of all ages recognize patterns that no longer serve them, build emotional awareness, and develop skills that support meaningful and lasting change. Therapy with me is not about fixing you or your child; it is about strengthening resilience, fostering self-trust, and creating space for growth, healing, and forward movement.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is both structured and human. Sessions are thoughtful, conversational, and tailored to your goals. We will work at a pace that feels safe and productive, balancing insight with action.

I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies. These approaches help clients learn how to respond differently to difficult thoughts and emotions, reduce avoidance, and build lives that align with their values.

Above all, I strive to create a space that feels grounded, respectful, and collaborative. You do not need to have everything figured out to begin. Curiosity and willingness are enough.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance to slow things down and get oriented. Whether you are coming in for yourself or for your child, this initial meeting is focused on creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and collaborative. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

We’ll spend time getting to know what brought you to therapy, what you or your child have been experiencing, and what you hope might change. For children and adolescents, this often includes time with a parent or caregiver to understand concerns, followed by age-appropriate conversation that helps your child feel at ease and understood.

You can expect thoughtful questions, clear explanations, and space to ask your own questions along the way. I will explain how therapy works, what my role is, and how we can work together moving forward. My goal is to help you leave the first session feeling grounded, informed, and supported rather than overwhelmed.

The first session is not about diagnosis or quick fixes. It is about establishing trust, clarifying goals, and beginning to chart a path through whatever crosscurrents you or your family may be navigating. Over time, our work will focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and supporting steady, meaningful progress.
